About Puri's Point
Puri's Point es un reef break divertido y explosivo en la costa de Lombok que ofrece paredes consistentes y secciones juguetonas para surfistas de nivel intermedio. Local knowledge
El arrecife es de coral vivo — poco profundo con marea baja, por lo que las caídas pueden provocar cortes y raspaduras dolorosas; las escarpines merecen la pena para los surfistas menos experimentados. Presta atención a las corrientes de resaca traicioneras que corren a lo largo del borde del arrecife con swells más grandes, y hay erizos de mar dispersos por las zonas más bajas cerca de la entrada. El tráfico de barcos y jukungs puede ser un factor en los días de mayor actividad, así que mantén la cabeza despejada al remar hacia afuera.
Aparca en el warung más cercano a lo largo de la carretera costera y sigue el corto sendero rocoso hasta la playa. La entrada es mejor hacerla calculando bien el momento para remar por el canal en el lado derecho del break — evita cruzar directamente sobre el arrecife. Sal de la misma manera por el canal; no intentes volver caminando sobre el arrecife seco con marea baja.
Una shortboard versátil (6'0"–6'4") o una mid-length servirán para la mayoría de las condiciones aquí, dándote la maniobrabilidad necesaria para aprovechar las paredes explosivas. En los días de olas más pequeñas y blandas, una fish o una hybrid te ayudará a generar velocidad en las secciones más débiles; trae un step-up si se pronostica un swell sólido.

Surfing in Lombok
Full Lombok surf guide →Lombok sits just east of Bali, separated by the deep Lombok Strait, and remains one of the most rewarding surf destinations in the Indonesian archipelago. It carries the spirit of an older Bali — quiet villages, jungle-clad hills, the towering Mount Rinjani volcano to the north, and a string of perfect bays and headlands along the south coast. The surf scene here is laid-back and adventure-driven rather than polished and packaged.
✈️Getting there
Fly into Lombok International Airport (LOP), near Praya in the centre-south of the island — a short 30–45 minute drive from Kuta Lombok and the main surf zone. There are frequent domestic connections from Jakarta, Surabaya and especially Bali (Denpasar), plus some regional international links.
🛵Getting around
A scooter is the default way to explore Lombok's surf coast — cheap to rent in Kuta and ideal for the dirt tracks leading to Mawi, Are Guling and the quieter bays. Bring board racks or a strap, and ride cautiously: roads range from smooth tarmac to potholed dirt, and rural traffic can be unpredictable.

Lombok has a tropical climate with two clear seasons. The dry season (roughly April–October) is prime time: cleaner conditions, lighter or offshore mornings, and the most consistent south-coast groundswell. This is when nearly every spot — Mawi, Gerupuk, Seger, Are Guling and Desert Point — fires.
