About Seger Reef
Seger Reef está a apenas 5 minutos de scooter de Kuta Lombok, e é um dos pontos mais acessíveis e consistentes da área. Oferece uma direita rápida e técnica que quebra sobre o recife, e ocasionalmente uma esquerda mais curta. A onda de Seger é intensa, exigente e curta, ideal para surfistas intermediários avançados que buscam manobras rápidas ou tubos quando o swell chega alinhado. O cenário, com colinas verdes, uma torre de observação e praias pristine ao redor, também faz dele um dos lugares mais pitorescos para surfar perto de Kuta.
Local knowledge
O recife aqui é raso e afiado, especialmente na seção interna onde a direita rápida fecha sobre corais secos em marés baixas — espere cortes se você cair. Há uma corrente perceptível que corre ao longo do recife em swells maiores que pode arrastá-lo em direção às rochas, e a zona de decolagem fica apertada e competitiva quando as ondas estão boas. Fique de olho na maré, pois a água baixa transforma a zona de impacto em um verdadeiro perigo.
Acesso fácil — é uma viagem de scooter de 5 minutos a leste de Kuta Lombok, com estacionamento perto da colina abaixo da torre de observação; os locais geralmente cobram uma pequena taxa para vigiar sua moto. Da praia, é uma remada curta até o pico; cronometre sua entrada e saída no canal ao lado do recife em vez de se arrastar sobre o coral raso. Pegue um coco em um dos warungs na praia antes ou depois da sua sessão.

It carries the spirit of an older Bali — quiet villages, jungle-clad hills, the towering Mount Rinjani volcano to the north, and a string of perfect bays and headlands along the south coast. The surf scene here is laid-back and adventure-driven rather than polished and packaged.
✈️Getting there
Fly into Lombok International Airport (LOP), near Praya in the centre-south of the island — a short 30–45 minute drive from Kuta Lombok and the main surf zone. There are frequent domestic connections from Jakarta, Surabaya and especially Bali (Denpasar), plus some regional international links.
🛵Getting around
A scooter is the default way to explore Lombok's surf coast — cheap to rent in Kuta and ideal for the dirt tracks leading to Mawi, Are Guling and the quieter bays. Bring board racks or a strap, and ride cautiously: roads range from smooth tarmac to potholed dirt, and rural traffic can be unpredictable.
