Gerupuk é uma grande baía localizada a leste de Kuta Lombok, famosa por seus cinco picos diferentes acessíveis apenas de barco. Local knowledge
A maioria dos picos de Gerupuk quebra sobre o recife, mas geralmente é mais indulgente do que as pesadas lajes mais a oeste — as principais preocupações são corais vivos rasos e ouriços na maré baixa (especialmente na parte interna em Kids Point/Inside e sobre o fundo rochoso em Don-Don), então usar botas é inteligente. A baía vê muito tráfego de barcos transportando surfistas e correntes impulsionadas pela maré que podem te puxar em direção ao canal, então fique atento aos barcos-táxi parados no lineup. Outside Right (Outside Gerupuk) ganha mais potência e uma queda mais rápida quando a ondulação está alta, que é onde os intermediários ficam presos dentro.

It carries the spirit of an older Bali — quiet villages, jungle-clad hills, the towering Mount Rinjani volcano to the north, and a string of perfect bays and headlands along the south coast. The surf scene here is laid-back and adventure-driven rather than polished and packaged.
✈️Getting there
Fly into Lombok International Airport (LOP), near Praya in the centre-south of the island — a short 30–45 minute drive from Kuta Lombok and the main surf zone. There are frequent domestic connections from Jakarta, Surabaya and especially Bali (Denpasar), plus some regional international links.
🛵Getting around
A scooter is the default way to explore Lombok's surf coast — cheap to rent in Kuta and ideal for the dirt tracks leading to Mawi, Are Guling and the quieter bays. Bring board racks or a strap, and ride cautiously: roads range from smooth tarmac to potholed dirt, and rural traffic can be unpredictable.
