About Impossibles
Impossibles é um dos pontos mais longos e espetaculares da Península do Bukit, no sul de Bali. Fiel ao seu nome, a onda costumava ser considerada "impossível" de surfar em sua totalidade devido à sua velocidade e comprimento, embora hoje seja bem conhecida por oferecer paredes infinitas perfeitas para manobras rápidas e seções tubulares. Localizado entre Padang Padang e Bingin, este reef break oferece uma esquerda longa e rápida que pode se dividir em vários picos ao longo do recife. É uma onda poderosa e exigente, não recomendada para iniciantes, mas muito apreciada por surfistas intermediários e avançados em condições médias a grandes.
Local knowledge
Recife de coral vivo raso e afiado ao longo de toda a extensão da onda — quedas nas seções internas te colocarão no recife, então é sério em maré baixa e em dias maiores. Uma forte corrente de arrasto corre ao longo do recife e torna o longo remada de volta um verdadeiro exercício, e a velocidade da onda significa que é fácil ficar preso entre os múltiplos picos. Ouriços do mar se escondem na prateleira do recife, e a saída com a encosta da falésia pode ficar arriscada se o swell aumentar enquanto você está fora.
Estacione no topo da falésia perto dos warungs acima de Bingin/Impossibles e desça as escadas íngremes e o caminho pela acomodação na falésia até a praia abaixo. Da areia, cronometre sua remada para sair pelo canal — é uma longa remada até o lineup, e a corrente faz muito do trabalho puxando você para baixo do recife. Em marés mais baixas, saia cuidadosamente pelo mesmo caminho antes que a areia desapareça contra a falésia.
Traga uma prancha de performance curta, rápida e que você possa realmente cortar e bombear — essa onda recompensa a velocidade e o surf de rail a rail em uma prancha mais grossa. Em dias maiores e mais sólidos, aumente para uma prancha step-up para que você possa aproveitar as longas paredes rápidas e entrar nas seções tubulares.

It packs an absurd density of quality breaks into a small island: machine-perfect reef barrels on the Bukit Peninsula, mellow beach breaks on the west coast, and a Bali Sea wave or two over on the east.
✈️Getting there
Bali is the simplest surf destination in Indonesia to reach. Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar handles direct flights from across Asia and Australia, plus connections worldwide via Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and beyond. From Australia it's a short hop from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
🛵Getting around
The default surfer transport is a scooter (110–150cc). It's cheap, easy to rent daily or monthly, and lets you slip down narrow Bukit lanes and beat the traffic. Bring or rent a board rack/strap. Wear a helmet, ride sober, and know that traffic is chaotic and Bali's road-accident rate is high — many travellers come unstuck here.

Bali has two seasons. The dry season runs roughly April to October — sunny, lower humidity, and the prime surf window for the south and west coasts, with consistent groundswell and clean morning offshore winds. This is peak season; expect crowds and book ahead.
