About Balangan
A Praia de Balangan é um dos segredos mais bem guardados da península de Bukit em Bali. Local knowledge
Balangan é uma esquerda rápida e rasa quebrando sobre um recife de coral vivo, e fica notavelmente mais afiada e perigosa na maré baixa, quando as seções internas secam sobre lajes expostas — espere cortes de recife e o ocasional ouriço-do-mar se você for arrastado para as pedras. Há uma corrente forte correndo ao longo do recife, especialmente em swells maiores, que o arrastará pela linha e em direção às falésias, então conheça sua saída antes de entrar na água. Nos finais de semana e em bons swells, o lineup fica movimentado com locais habilidosos e surfistas visitantes, então a posição é importante.
Estacione no topo perto dos warungs na borda do penhasco e desça as escadas de concreto até a praia — é um conjunto decente de degraus, então viaje leve. Reme para fora da praia; o canal mais fácil geralmente fica na extremidade inferior (down-the-line) do recife, e sincronize sua entrada e saída com as séries para evitar ser empurrado para o recife interno. ✈️Getting there
Bali is the simplest surf destination in Indonesia to reach. Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar handles direct flights from across Asia and Australia, plus connections worldwide via Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and beyond. From Australia it's a short hop from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
🛵Getting around
The default surfer transport is a scooter (110–150cc). It's cheap, easy to rent daily or monthly, and lets you slip down narrow Bukit lanes and beat the traffic. Bring or rent a board rack/strap. Wear a helmet, ride sober, and know that traffic is chaotic and Bali's road-accident rate is high — many travellers come unstuck here.

Bali has two seasons. The dry season runs roughly April to October — sunny, lower humidity, and the prime surf window for the south and west coasts, with consistent groundswell and clean morning offshore winds. This is peak season; expect crowds and book ahead.
